Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, majoring in design, in 1979, and completed a graduate course at same University in 1981. Initially joined Dentsu, the established Taku Satoh Design Office in 1984. Created product designs for Nikka Pure Malt, Lotte Chewing Gum, Lotte XYLITOL Gum, Taisho Pharmaceutical's Zena nutritious drink, Meiji Dairies' "Oishii Gyunyu" milk, etc. Created VI for BS Asahi and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. Involved in planning and art direction of the "Nihongo de Asobo" TV Program on the NHK educational channel, and the "Analysis of the Mass-product Design" project. Member of Tokyo ADC, Tokyo TDC, JAGDA, AGI.
