Profile
Born in Iwate Prefecture, he graduated from Tokyo Art School in 1948. He joined the Shiseido advertising department in 1948 and after becoming General Manager of Advertising with a ranking equal to a director while also General Manager of Production, he is now a full-time advisor. He got the Japan Advertising Artists Club Special Mention and Members Award, the Tokyo ADC Award, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Members Awards. The Asahi Advertising Award, the Mainichi Advertising Award, the Warsaw International Biennial Gold and and Special Mention Awards, the Kinugasa Award, the Yamana Award, and the Advertising Dentsu Award. He was invited to exhibit at the "Mona Lisa Smile Exhibition" at the Louvre Decorative Art Museum, Paris, the Warsaw International Biennial, the "12 Japanese Artists Poster Exhibition" (Paris), the "10 Artists World Poster Exhibition" (Tokyo), and the "Graphic Design of Today" (Tokyo Museum of Modern Art).
