Profile
Born in Osaka. In 1967 graduated from Osaka University of Arts with a concentration in design and joined Shiseido. After stints as art director and creative director, currently head of Shiseido's Design Creation Group. In 1982-86 served as company's first representation in Paris, collaborating with Serge Lutens. Since then, while participating in various Shiseido brand and exhibition launches, performing art direction, etc., he has also undertaken numerous book designs and graphic works. Awards to date include Tokyo ADC Award, Tokyo ADC Members Prize, New York ADC Gold Prize. Member of Tokyo ADC, Tokyo TDC and JAGDA.
