Profile
Born in Tokyo. His real name is Yuji SAto. He left Tokyo Gakugei University but graduated from the Kuwasawa Design Institute. He established the Design Farm in 1975 after working in the Oka Studio. His awards include the 1977 New York ADC "Japanese Graphic Design Exhibition" Silver Medal, the 1978 Bruno Graphic Design Biennale Gold Medal, the 1979 Lahti Poster Biennale Gold Medal, and the 1989 Bulgaria Artists Union Award. Among his many one-man shows at home and abroad are "My Theory of Evolution" (Gallery Okabe) in 1972, "U.G. Sato Poster Exhibition" (La Salle Museum of Art, Italy). Books: "The Personal Theory of Evolution by U.G. Sato," "In the Fantastic Zoo," "The Two-legged and The Four-legged" and "Wooden Boxes."
