Born in Lucerne, Switzerland, he established a studio on graduating from the Zurich Design School. His many awards include the Gold from the Warsaw International Poster Biennale, the gold from the Moscow International poster Biennale, First Prize from the Chaumont International Poster Festival, and the Swiss Federation Design Award. His works are in the permanent collections of the Bruno Graphic Design Gallery, the Chaumont Poster Collection, the Hamburg Industrial Arts Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Toyama Museum of Modern Art, and the Warsaw Poster Museum. He is an AGI member.

Born in Lucerne, Switzerland. Upon graduation in 1982 he opened his own design studio. his primary focus is on the creation of posters for cultural events. In 1992-2001 he taught at the Zurich School of Design; in 2000-01 a guest professor at Berlin University of the Arts; since 2003 he has been teaching at Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts; since 2010 at Basel School of Design. Among his many awards won to date are the Gold Medal at the Chaumont Poster Festival. His works are included in the permanent collection of the MoMA and in other collections worldwide. He is a member of AGI.
