Established in 1992 in Berlin by Daniela Haufe and Detlef Fiedler. 1996 cyanpress was founded for the design and publication ob books. The team has been involved with many projects commissioned by cultural facilities, including books, magazines, movies, and multimedia works. Its clients include not only the Berlin State Opera, Radio Free Berlin, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and the Berlin Academy of Arts, but also a large number of galleries and publishing companies. Haufe and Fiedler are both professors at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts and members of AGI. Their most recent signature work includes the design of the German Pavilion for the 2004 Venice International Exhibition of Architecture. Posters by cyan are held by many poster collections, including those of the MoMA in New York, the Poster Museum in the Lower Rhineland at Emmerich, and the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg. Other members of cyan are Ketja Schwalenberg, Julia Fushs and Schmitt.
