Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1983. Joined the advertising department of Takashimaya's main store, until he formed own company, Bise, in 1985. With a painter's perspective, he creates his own unique world in diverse genres including, but by no means exclusive to, graphic design and illustrations.
