The poster collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague was begun immediately after the museum's founding in 1885, alongside its collections of photography and commercial graphics. Currently consisting of 50,000 works, the museum's poster collection ranks among the largest poster collections in Europe. This exhibition covered a particularly dramatic and turbulent period in Czech poster art. For this exhibition about 70 posters, mainly for movies and theater performances, have been selected from the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.
