Profile
Born in New York, he studied illustrations and graphic design at Cooper Union. He was a founding member of the Pushpin Studios and became the director of the Pushpin Group in 1985. He works in many areas including designs, advertising, packaging and illustrations. He was AD for the magazine, "Pushpin Graphics." His recent works are in the Delpierre Gallery, the Zurich Industrial Art Museum, the Gutenberg Museum and the São Paulo Art Museum. He has gotten the Cooper Union St. Gorden Medal, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts Gold Medal. He was named to to the New York ADC Hall of Fame. His works are in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art, the Cooper Hewitt Museum of the Smithsonian Institute and the Israel Art Museum. He is a Cooper Union professor, vice-president of the American Graphic Art Association, and an AIGA member.
