Placing a spotlight on Vienna, a city widely known for history and culture, 100 posters, that have actually decorated the streets of Vienna, were chosen from the tremendous archive collection, containing 180,000 items, of the Vienna Library, with its long history. The collection in one of the important and largest poster collections in Europe. The posters of various genres exhibited cover over 100 years from 1883 to recent works definitely conveys a feeling for the history of the city of Vienna by mirroring the times.

On the first day, a Gallery Talk was held with Bernhard Denscher currently Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Vienna Municipal Government who has also written many books on Austrian posters. He spoke about the history of Vienna and activities involving the Library poster collection.
