イスラエルのテルアビブを拠点に活躍するタルタコーバのポスター作品から、自身が特に力を入れているという政治的メッセージを凝縮した自主制作作品を中心に約50点を紹介。

50 works that he made on his own with brief political messages were shown from among the posters by David Tartakover based in Tel Aviv, Israel. 

主義主張についての質問も飛び出したが、「イスラエルは表現の自由な国だから」という余裕の受け答えが印象的であった。

In the gallery talk, there were many questions about stating one's principles. His confident response that Israel is a country with freedom of expression was very impressive.

Gallery Talk

イスラエル生まれ。エルサレムのベザレル・アカデミー・オブ・アート＆デザイン、ロンドンのカレッジ・オブ・プリンティングを卒業。1975年よりテルアビブを拠点にビジュアルコミュニケーターとして活動するほか、イスラエルのグラフィックデザインの歴史に関する収集と研究を行う。76年より、エルサレムのベザレル・アカデミー・オブ・アート＆デザインで専任講師。イスラエル・グラフィックデザイナー協会会長、イスラエル文化芸術委員会会員。

Born in Israel, he graduated from the Bazale Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem and the London College of Printing. In addition to being a visual communicator in Tel Aviv from 1975, he has gathered materials and researched the history of Israeli graphic design. He has been a fulltime lecturer at the Jerusalem Academy of Art & Design since 1976 and became chairman of the Graphic Designers' Association of Israel in 1992. He is currently a member of the Israel's Culture & Arts board. His major awards include the Gold Prize at the Lahti Poster Biennial in 1990, the Second Prize at the Salon of Photography, Kalish, Poland and the Honorable Mention at Helsinky Biennial in 1997.

広島県生まれ。大阪芸術大学中退。1970年ロシア、ヨーロッパを経てシルクロードを歩く。髙島屋宣伝部を経て、1984年松井桂三デザイン室、92年ハンドレットデザインインク設立。日米グラフィックデザイン展銀賞、東京ADC賞ほか受賞多数。最近はグラフィックデザインを中心に広告、パッケージ、環境、映像、建築など様々なジャンルを手がける。「チャイナグラフィックデザイン'96」（中国）、「MATSUI=GRAPHIKDESIGN AUS JAPAN」（独）など海外で展覧会開催。著書に『3Dグラフィックス』（六耀社）、『平面設計士松井桂三』（中国青年出版社）がある。AGI、NY.ADC、東京ADC、東京TDC会員。JAGDA理事。

Born in Hiroshima, he left Osaka University of Arts. In 1970, he traveled through the Silk Road from Russia and Europe. After the advertising department of Takashimaya, he established the Keizo Matsui Design Office in 1984 and Hundred Design Inc. in 1992. His many awards include the Japan-America Graphic Design Exhibition Silver Award and the Tokyo ADC Award. Recently, he is primarily involved graphic design but also many genre such as packaging, the environment, film, and architecture. He has has exhibition abroad such as "China Graphic Design '96" (China) and "Matsui-Graphkdesign aus Japan" (Germany). His books include "3D Graphics" (Rikuyosha) and "Keizo Matsui: The Graphic Designer" '(Chugoku Seinen Publishing Co.). He is a member of AGI, NY.ADC, Tokyo ADC, Tokyo TDC and is a director of JAGDA.
