国際的なピンナップアートの巨匠として評価の高い作家の、世紀を超え、さらなる進化を遂げた「人造美女」と「エロティックファンタジー」の新作を中心に、20年間にわたる活動を、ポスター、ポップ、ジャケット、カード等英オズなどを交えて紹介。

This exhibition introduced the works of the internationally renowned master of pin-up art, centering on new works depicting "artificial beauties" and "erotic fantasies" that have crossed the centuries to evolve to a higher stage, as well as a vast array of posters, POP displays, jackets, cards, and images for 20 years of his works.

1969年中央美術学園卒業後、旭通信制作部入社。1972年独立。1984年FIAT（伊）全世界キャンペーンイメージとなる。1995年CATV「T＆A 2000」キャラクター、セクシーロボットをデザイン。1996年ヴァーガス・アワード（米）受賞。1999年ソニーAIBOのデザインでグッドデザイン賞グランプリ、メディア芸術祭グランプリを受賞。2001年初代AIBOがスミソニアン博物館とニューヨーク近代美術館にパーマネントコレクション。同ねん、朝日新聞発明賞。ミュンヘン、アトランタ、ロサンゼルスなど各地で個展を開催。作品集に『セクシーロボット』、『ピンナップ』、『HYPER ILLUSTRATION 1.2』、『THE GYNOIDS』など多数。

Graduated from Chubi Central Art School om 1969 and joined the production department of Asatsu Inc. He became independent in 1972 and in 1984 was responsible for developing a worldwide campaign image for Fiat, Italy. In 1995 he designed a sexy robot character for the HBO cable TV series "T&A 2000." He won the Vargas Award in the USA in 1996 and in 1999 the Good Design Award's Grand Prix for his Sony AIBO robot dong, as well as the Grand Prix from the Media Arts Festival. The first AIBO design was included in the permanent collections of both the Smithsonian Institution and the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2001. In the same year, he was awarded the Asahi Shimbun Prize for Invention and Innovation. He has held Los Angeles. The many published collections of his works include "Sexy Robot," "Pinup," "HYPER ILLUSTRATION 1.2," "THE GYNOIDS."
