Die Neue Sammlung München (Bayern State Museum of Applied Arts) is one of the leading design museums in the world, and has more than 60,000 collections of industrial design, graphic design, arts and crafts. Out of some 15,000 posters housed in this museum, about 65 were selected for this exhibition which featured cultural posters of Europe. Though less than 0.5% of the entire collection, the selected works are an essence of a history of posters of over 100 years that testifies to changes made closely reflecting the trends of the times. Also introduced in the exhibition were Die Neue Sammlung München's various activities as ad design museum, making free use of the past exhibition's pictorial records.
