This was a poster exhibition with 17 Korean designers starting with Ahn Sang-Soo. 4 works per person with Hangul as a theme were exhibited. Hangul are the characters that were officially announced in 1446 by Korea's fourth Chosen king from the Yi dynasty, Sejong. "Han" means "great" and "gul" means "letter," so together Hangul means "Great Letters." Is is said that the characters are very rational and consistent, created through a total mobilization of all the knowledge the available about phonetics. Just like an alphabet, these are phonemic characters. Be combining by placing those in order, one then creates words.
