過去1年間（1998年5月～1999年4月）に発表・使用・掲載された約8,000点の応募作品を日本を代表するアートディレクター84名で構成される東京アートディレクターズクラブが4日間にわたり審査。選び抜かれた受賞作品、優秀作品を展示。

This year’s exhibition attracted some 8,000 works that were released, used, or published over the 12 months from May 1998 to April 1999. Prizewinners and works for inclusion in the "ART DIRECTION JAPAN 1999" (ADC yearbook) are selected following rigorous screening by 84 ADC members over four days. Before publication in the ADC Annual, prizewinning works and other outstanding entries displayed.

<p>「三木健展」では、“ from to”「〇〇から〇〇へ」をコンセプトにコミュニケーションデザインの思考プロセスをビジュアライズしました。それまでの仕事を再編集した200折のジャバラ型の立体物が会場を横断し、コンテンツの役目を担っています。平面から空間、また、デジタル環境からデザイン領域を横断的に捉える様々な仕事が交差し、それぞれが影響し合うことでまるで情報の建築物が組み立てられるような展示を計画しました。</p>

<p>I visualised the thought process of communication design in the concept “from to,” for the Ken Miki Exhibition. I reorganised all the work I had done into an accordion style 3D work consisting of 200 folds that ran right through the venue and displayed all my work. It was a crossover of various things, from 2D to space design; digital to design work. I planned the exhibition so each piece would influence other work and seemingly create a new information structure.</p>

東京神田生まれ。サン・アドを経て、1999年バタフライ・ストローク設立。カミロボ、コピットなどのプロデュースとディレクション。広告、グラフィック、映像など活動範囲は広く多岐にわたる。計画立案から表現まで幅広くこなせるクリエイティブディレクター、アートディレクターとしても活躍中。落書き風の線画や写真、CGを自在に使い分け、鮮度と喚起力に富むビジュアル表現が評判で、多数の企業をクライアントに持つ。JAGDA、東京TDC、東京ADC会員。

Born in Kanda. After having worked at SUN-AD, established Butterfly Stroke in 1999. Produced and directed Kami-Robo and COPET. He is an art director and creative director who handles not only advertising but also graphics and images from planning to presentation. Freely using scribbled sketches and photos or computer generated graphics, he is known for his harp, rousing visual creativity, and has many corporate clients, Member of JAGDA, Tokyo TDC, Tokyo ADC.
